Good Thursday morning, everyone. I hope it’s been a good week for everyone. I found this picture of Carlisle Tomlinson on proud grandmother Shellie Rushing Tomlinson’s page. Carlisle is a true cowgirl, and is always winning awards for showing livestock and in this case for her horsemanship. The trophy says Northeast District Horse Show for ages 14 and over. A reason to be proud. Congratulations, Carlisle.

Instead of cook of the month for January, I am proud to say we can do one better. This month, we are featuring Lake Providence’s very own chef, Clélie Stone. She calls herself a “one trick pony” which is how she explains howshegotinvolvedin food, but a conversation with this lady shows just how versatile, intelligent, and most of all, spiritual, that she is.
