Three people were shot over the Christmas holiday four-day weekend.
One man was shot in the face on Saturday in one shooting, and, in a separate shooting, a woman was shot in the hip.
Authorities believe that the same suspect, Zerian Sparks, is involved in both shootings and fled the scene of those shootings. Sheriff Wydette Williams says the suspect in the case allegedly attempted to flee from police, ending up in the lake, where he came ashore on a local resident’s property before allegedly breaking into her home.
Sparks was later apprehended sleeping in a chair inside the home. He has been charged with attempted second degree murder and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Other charges are pending, according to the sheriff. Williams said other arrests are likely in this case.
The third shooting was a domestic-related shooting. TaKeisha
