Cleanup from the fire of the Transylvania Exxon Station and Transylvania Store was underway last week in Transylvania. The small town lost one of its only remaining businesses to an electrical fire last year. Owner Andy Chappell said that he had no plans to rebuild. “Unfortunately, it is just too expensive, and I didn’t have enough insurance to cover the costs,” Chappell said.
