(Above and left) Forty-eight 4th and 5th grade 4-H’ers from Southside Elementary school toured Wild Safari Park in Delhi recently. The youth learned amazing facts about kangaroos, ostrich, deer, donkeys, zebras, camels and so much more! Mrs. Wingate and staff prepared a nutritious packed lunch and 4-H leader Jocelyn Jones organized the event. Entrepreneurship Lesson: More than 60 Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) students at Griffin Middle Academy (two pictures at right) learned about entrepreneurship and pitching business ideas. The students did a fantastic job! Pictured above and below are scenes from the Walk-A-Mile Day, which was held last month. Classes from East Carroll schools and Briarfield participated! 4-H presented activities promoting drug-free lifestyles and physical activity. The annual event was held at the Lake Providence Walking Trail located behind the East Carroll Parish Hospital. Below, 4-H’ers at Southside, GMA, GTHS and Briarfield presented tokens of appreciation to school personnel. Thank you for your support!
