A local man remains in the Riverbend Detention Center

A local man remains in the Riverbend Detention Center on a $10,000 bond after he allegedly sold a trailer stolen from Lake Providence. The 18-foot utility trailer was stolen on June 21 and recovered on June 25 in Monroe. The East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Louisiana State Police, arrested David Hampton Jr. on July 8 and charged him with Felony Theft over $5,000. Hampton also has pending charges with the Louisiana State Police. DEBRA HOPKINS
