Local volunteers plan an upcoming event called “Grace in the Grass: Blankets, Bibles & Breakthroughs” for women from 5th grade to college. Set to be held August 9 at Together for Hope Louisiana House at 12 p.m. and organized by Dr. Pauline Jackson, the event will include Bible study, reflection and sharing, and other activities. At the table are Jackson, Shameka Toston, Renada Thompson, Terrace Newson, Kayviana Perkins, Dyandra Atkins, Wanda Manning. Jennifer Newton and Antenna Mead joined by phone.
