We got meta in our pages with coverage of another newspaper writing about our newspaper.
A story that ran in The Advocate brought plenty of attention to our little newspaper and we remain grateful to the photographer, Chris Granger, and writer, Faimon Roberts, for giving our mission here a second in the spotlight. We had a local guest writer Coronae Willis cover Black History month, and featured regular guest columnists Amy Hale (local nurse practitioner) and Jase Thornton (local farmer and mental health counselor). Our beloved reporter and regular columnist Billy Coleman turned fifty and wrote a heck of a story about the bats that plagued our building, documenting their (humane) removal, though the scent on a warm and humid day still lingers. We turned an eye to our local litter problem, published a local eats guide for the first time, and held our annual football contest, for which Zach Payne took home the prize.
