A large crowd of parents, guardians and community members (above) attended last week’s Christmas celebration by Southside Elementary School. All grades performed seasonal skits and musical numbers. Curtis Turner Jr., Mr. Southside 2023-2024, gave the invocation, while Dawn Williams, Miss Southside, presented the poem “The Night Before Christmas.” The welcome was given by Mr. and Miss Fifth Grade, Kaiden and Kaitlyn Johnson. Girl Power and Spencer Bee Girls also provided entertainment in addition to the classes. Pictured (left) are the children in PreK, who performed “O Holy Night”.
