A visit to Byerley Boat Landing recently revealed a mess. What looked like the remnants of a party were strewn all over the grass and the picnic area, creating an unsightly scene and leaving what is usually a welcoming and serene public space on Lake Providence an eyesore. The parish is blessed with a few public parks and spaces created to allow the public to enjoy recreational activities on the lake. It is unfortunate that people cannot see the damage that their irresponsibility has caused.
