Payne takes home the contest prize

The annual Football Contest has ended and Zach Payne is officially the champion for this season, winning $100. Payne was trailing several contestants three weeks ago, but after winning two consecutive weeks, and scoring 16 this week, Payne ended the season with a score of 193.
Payne came into the week with a five game lead over the next two contestants, Andrae McMerchant and Crissi Newton. The only path to victory for McMerchant or Newton would have required Payne to score 14 or less and one of them would have had to score 19 in order to tie him or get a perfect score of 20 for the win. McMerchant only had 14 correct picks the final week, and Newton had 17, but it is irrelevant due to the fact that Payne scored 16.
Newton finished the season in second place with an overall score of 189, while McMerchant, who was the overall leader for most of the season, finished in third place with 186.
Glenn Jones won the weekly contest with a score of 18, followed by Newton with 17. There were nine contestants with 16 correctly picked games picked this week.
