Celebrating the lives of East Carroll residents

Good Thursday morning. I sure hope that everyone is in some stage of recovery from the weather. It’s hard to write a column about social living when no one has been living very socially this past week. But I will tell you what they have been doing. They have been helping their friends, relatives and neighbors. They have been utilizing their resources to make things better for those who could not. They have cleared roadways, moved trees, hauled propane and gasoline, provided generators, water, and other necessities, cooked, delivered meals, checked on the elderly and those who couldn’t get out of their houses. I am blown away by the people of this parish. Y’all have stepped up. I am writing this Monday afternoon, and I am still without electrical power. I have had so many people offer to let me stay with them. It has just been overwhelming.
