Mayor will not seek office

Mayor Bobby Amacker announced at the town’s finance committee meeting last week that he would not seek another term in office. “I made up my mind that I cannot do this again,” Amacker said.

Parish lawyer namedhead of commission

Andy Brister, Lake Providence attorney, was elected chairman earlier this month of the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission (LWFC). Fellow Commissioner Nathan Wall was elected vice chairman.

One-Pan Chicken & Veg

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts 2 cups mixed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, bell peppers) 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp garlic powder ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper Preheat oven to 400°F.
