Fundraiser to be held for animal sanctuary, dream of local woman

Stray dogs have become a problem throughout the parish, and one woman wants to find a solution. Currently she is in phase one, Lovell said, setting up her 501c3. Then she will move forward with the next stage which is finding a location for the shelter. “It has to be somewhere that is non-residential,” Lovell explained, “because of the barking.” Lovell said she had a few places in mind, but that land was expensive and scarce in the parish.
