Celebrating the lives of East Carroll residents

Browsing through Facebook, I came across this really cute picture of Charlotte Fairchild along with this story from grandmother, Susan Fairchild. “When I was a little girl, I would go with my grandmother to visit her “old lady” friends to look at their flowers and see what new daylilies or irises were blooming. Yesterday my sweet little granddaughter and I rode around my yard on the golf cart looking at and talking about each thing that was blooming. We stood in front of the hummingbird feeder very very still and watched as a tiny little bird hovered in front of us checking us out before deciding we were no threat. He and his mate enjoyed sipping nectar while we held our breath and observed God’s creation! She was so excited to pick a special bouquet just for her Susu!” Don’t you just love it. I thought it was a great way to start a social column. (But don’t tell SuSu because she doesn’t know I stole this).
